Safer Internet Day

Today was Safer Internet Day, so the children learned a little more about images online... The children explored the idea of first impressions and how an online reputation can be created through the images of a person that appear online. We looked at how quick and easy it is today for people to take, copy and use images of other people and therefore how important it is to make a good first impression. Later, we read through a fictional play script following the exploits of 'Sam' who has used social media to affect his friends and family in both positive and negative ways. All week is our E-safety week, so we will continue to raise awareness of the potential dangers online.
