Physical Education

We have been learning lots of new skills in P.E.

This term we have been learning how to catch and throw. We started off with rolling the ball to a partner sitting down. Then we stood up and tried to get it through their legs but they kept defending it so well. After this, we challenged ourselves by moving further away from our partner and then we even joined up with other partners. We could then pass the ball to whoever we wanted. Later in the term, we started looking at throwing. We learnt how to correcly perform a chest pass to a partner by pushing the ball out from our chest and aiming for the other persons hands. We now know that the harder we push our arms, the faster and stronger the ball will travel through the air. We are still finding aiming a little tricky so this is a target for us to work on. Towards the end of the termm, we played some really fun catching and throwing games as a class and this has also really helped our listening skills. Well done Team Spurrier!
