This week we have started our new geography topic and have been learning about the different uses of land and all about mountains! The children enjoyed watching some messy demonstrations showing how mountains are formed and producing fact files about a famous mountain range! In maths, we have been practising using money. Perhaps ask us to work out how much 2 items would cost in a shop or how much change we might get from a £1 coin or £5 note! We have also started to explore our new book in English, titled Rhythm of the Rain. We have particularly enjoyed using onomatopoeia to describe rivers and waterfalls. 

Friendly reminder - please ensure your child is reading at least 4 times a week and record it in their reading record. Reading at home really makes a difference to their written work in school.
