Look at us, we are scientists!
This week we have been developing our knowledge of the different food groups and finding out what foods belong in each category. Then, we started learning about our taste buds and where we could find them in our mouths (we had a good look with a mirror). We learnt that they’re not just used to help us taste but to also protect us from anything that might make us poorly. Later in the week, we developed our investigative skills by testing different flavoured water to see how our taste buds reacted and we noted down the different flavours we could taste. Finally, we learnt about melting and freezing and whether used our new key vocabulary to identify whether an item is a solid or a liquid. We really were fantastic scientists this week!
