One Childhood, One Chance

Dinosaur Eggs!

We have been get messy...

This week in Team Spurrier we have been finishing off our topic on Dinosaurs. We have been studying the story 'How to grow a dinosaur' and from that we have produced some wonderful writing about the main character Albie who doesn't want to garden with his mum, he wants an ADVENTURE! In drama we were pretending to be Albie and practiced speaking as him. This really helped our writing. Also, in the story he plants some seeds and they grow into a jungle with amazing things, such as a jelly bean tree and dinosaurs. The children then came up with their own imaginary forests and drew them. They were so creative and detailed. Finally we have been making our very own paper mache dinosaur eggs. This has been really fiddly, sticky and so much fun. We have been adding new layers every day in choosing time to make them nice and strong. Tomorrow we are going to paint them and we have some creative ideas for the deisgns.
