Part, part whole
This week in Team Spurrier we have been learning how to add using the part part whole method that the children will continue to use in Year 1. We had to create the whole number out of cubes, break it into two parts in any place and record how many we had in each part. Some of us were even able to do this by counting in our heads. As well as this, we challenged ourselves to find as many possibilities for one number (as many different breaks). We have worked so hard this week and we have really got it.
