This Mindfulness Monday, we explored positive affirmations—short, kind phrases we say to ourselves to help us feel confident, calm, and ready to learn. Affirmations like “I am brave” or “I can do hard things” can really boost self-esteem and encourage resilience, even in young children.

We talked about how affirmations can help us feel strong on the inside, especially when we're nervous or unsure. Each child created their own personal affirmation, with lovely examples like “I am a good friend”, “I can keep trying”, and “I am proud of myself”.

Saying affirmations regularly, especially at the start of the day, is a simple but powerful way to build confidence. Why not try a few at home too?
