Wednesday's maths - 29/4/20

Today we are looking at units of time – specifically days, months and years…

It is important to know the order of the months as well as how many days there are in each. As I mentioned before, there is a rhyme to remember this, or the method with your knuckles. Ball up your hands into fists and put them side by side. Starting from the left, you work along the knuckles and the gaps between them. For each of these you say a month of the year in order. If the month is on a knuckle, it has 31 days, otherwise it has 30 (except February). There is a picture attached to help show this method!
