Thank you Sandra for a really well thought out email from Jeff's friends yesterday, it was absolutely fabulous!

Here are your questions for today:

1. Name the boys Jeff meets in the bathroom.
2. Why is Jeff happy after the basketball game?
3. What name does Brian call Bradley?
4. If you were Jeff would you prefer to be friends with Bradley or the other boys? Give reasons for your answer.
5. How, do you think, does Bradley feel when Jeff ignores him?

English: This will update in the morning, Today I want to take us back to the village of Beamfleot in order to look at some of the characters who live there. Now, the inhabitants of Beamfleot and the lands which surround it are not humans as we know them. Instead, they are animals with human characteristics. This is known as anthropomorphism.

Definition of Anthropomorphism

Anthropomorphism is a literary device that can be defined as a technique in which a writer ascribes human traits, ambitions, emotions, or entire behaviors to animals, non-human beings, natural phenomena, or objects.

I would like you to begin by reading about some of Beamfleot's citizens. There are foxes, mice, otters, cats and all sorts of other creatures. Some possess incredible powers, such as Lyria Neevil the squirrel mage and Rampion Punzel, the female rabbit berserker! You can also read about some of the less pleasant characters like Baron Greenback.

We will be going on to create a character ourselves tomorrow.
