Welcome back!

Maths:

Rapid recap:

Today practise writing numbers as words in your loveliest handwriting. Remember you still need to use your sounds! Use the numbers as words sheet to help you.

Today let’s recap our place value learning about tens and ones.

Can you tell me how many tens and ones in this number:

23

Answer – 2 tens and 3 ones

20 + 3 = 23

Now try these

43   18   56   68   36   22   78   99   12

Then think of your own!

RE
I am learning about the Islamic New Year.

This term we will learn about the religion of Islam. It is one of the main world religions.

For Muslims, Islam is not just a religion, it is a way of life.

Today’s lesson will be focussing on the Islamic New year. People who follow Islam are Muslim. The religion of Islam was founded in the 7th century by the Prophet Muhammad "Peace be upon him" and the word for God in Arabic is Allah.

Have a look at the pdf What do Muslims celebrate to find out more and then I’d like you to test yourself with how much you have remembered about Islam today by completing Worksheet titled what do Muslims celebrate Worksheet 1 – 1A or 1B if you want a bit of extra challenge!

Have a lovely Monday :)
