English - 'The Highwayman'

In our guided reading sessions we stopped before getting to the end, so as to not influence the children from planning their own ideas. We left the reading as a class as the Highwayman was returning to the inn to meet up with Bess, unaware that she had been tied up by a group of waiting red-coat soldiers!

The children generated some fabulous alternative endings and worked hard to write them. At the beginning of the coming week we hope to edit and finish them off. Once they are completed, we will endevour to get some onto the blog for you to see!
