How many things can I buy?

In Maths this week we have been continuing to look at money. We refreshed our knowledge of the different coin/note values and then we became problem solvers. We were given 10p and we were aloud to purchase a toy for under 10p and we had to work out how much change we would be given. We used the bar model to help us visualise the problem and this was really useful. Some of us were even purchasing 2 items. Later in the week we started to look at comparing money. We were given a tricky problems with different amounts of money and we had to use Charlie the crocodile and get him to eat the larger amount. He was very hungry! Our brains have been on fire this week with all this problem solving.
