Thank you for all of your lovely learning from yesterday.  Make sure you are posting them all on the class Padlet for your friends to see. They really make me smile too. It doesn't have to be the home learning tasks, it can be anything you have been up to from baking to loosing a tooth, to just saying hi to all your friends.

Challenge: Can you collect 5 different objects from around your house (e.g. chair, candle, bottle, toy figure, table). Can you explore these objects and make an estimation as to which one is the tallest? Which one is the shortest? How can we find out?  

Extension: Can you collect 10 objects and explore their height. Can you put them in order of height.

Theme: Growth  

Main: Lifecycle of a plant. Why do we call it a life cycle? What does that mean?  Watch one of the lifecycle videos What is the lifecycle of a plant? Can you name all the different stages?   

Challenge: Can you cut out the pictures from the link or draw your own cycle of each part. Super challenge. Can you label each section and write about it?

Please record in yellow book. -Two lines of handwriting of the sound with finger spaces, three spellings with the sound in and record the sentence with a capital letter and full stop.  I have attached a photo of how you may want to lay the home learning out in your yellow book.

How to help your child with reading at home:

The EEF have researched into the top ways to help your child with learning to read. I have attached the links at the bottom for parents to have a look at. They are all based around trust and discussion.

There are some new websites that launched yesterday which are offering online lessons, games, teaching packs and daily support for parents. This maybe something of use if you are looking for any extra/different learning opportunities. Below are the links:
