31/03: Home Learning

Good morning, Team Amin! It's the penultimate (day before the last) day of Term 4!

Tasks for the day:

Breakfast: How can you help your adults at home? Help with making breakfast or help with the cleaning up this morning. Miss Amin’s job growing up included unloading/loading the dishwasher and washing up.

M: We are going to practise our multiplication again today. Start with a speedy recap of your 4x and 8x. Then, practise your column multiplication. Ask an adult or go online for a reminder of the steps. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TqRReFvbpXA   Don’t forget: we regroup our values BELOW rather than at the top! Today, I have attached a sheet with some questions in a Word document to this blog below.

SPAG: Take a look at the Y3/4 Statutory spelling list. You can access it online/ in your home pack. Take the next column and practise these spellings using the look, say, cover, write, check method.

W and T: Watch the next 3 clips on https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/z82hsbk. Add to your brainstorm of key information whilst watching to support your writing over the next 2 days. Now start working on your own Powerpoint/poster all about the 3 prehistoric ages. You could create a big timeline like our ‘Beautiful Work’ at school or choose to do any other clever, unique way of presenting your learning (like a Love to Learn style piece of work). You might also like to read some of the learner guides to support with your knowledge.

Extra activities:

R: Access the GG Powerpoint and listen along to Groosham Grange and/or read a chapter of a book of your choice.

TT: Practise your 4 times tables. (Use Hit the button, chanting, TTRS etc., whiteboard)

Have a look around PADLET. Post a message or a comment if you like! This is another super way of staying in touch with each other.

Have a good day! Happy learning!

Miss Amin :)
