Home Learning, Wednesday 12th May

Please see below for Wednesday's home learning.

Good morning Team Gunson! I hope that you managed to enjoy a little of the sunny weather yesterday, even if it was a bit cold.  Here is your learning for today:

Mental Maths: Daily 10

https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/daily10

Maths: White Rose Maths Week 2, Lesson 5 - Equivalent Fractions, Decimals and Percentages

https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-5/

Reading: There's a Boy in the Girls' Bathroom, Chapters 25, 26 &27

To mix it up a little I have a link to a rather nice lady reading the chapters in question on YouTube. Have a watch and then see if you can answer the following questions. Again, well done Sandra for such well thought out and complete answers. Aaron too, I am really seeing some great progress in your comprehension skills.

1. Why is Bradley trying to be so good?
2. Where does Bradley go to hide from the group of boys?
3. What do Bradley and Carla have for lunch?
4. Do you think Bradley is a nice boy or a monster? Give a reason for your answer.
5. Do you think Carla wears clothes that she likes or does she wear clothes that she hopes the children will like? Explain your answer.
6. Imagine you were Carla. What advice would you give Bradley to help him be good in school?

English: Today we will have a SPaG focus. I have attached a short SPaG paper for your to work through. The answers are at the end if your parent or carer would like to go through it with you afterwards. When you have finished, look at the areas you felt that you need more support on. If you could email and let me know then I will try to build some of this into future SPaG learning.

Topic: End of Topic Quiz! We are coming to the end of this term's topic. Next week will have an R.E. focus instead, just as we do during our values week. To finish have a go at our topic quiz (attached). I have seen some excellent learning from many of you this term, show me what you can do!
