Environmental day

On Friday it was Environmental day! It was a day to think about our wonderful world and what we can do to look after it. We started the day learning all about climate change and what COP26 is. We then wrote a letter to either our Member of Parliament Craig Mackinlay or our Prime Minister Boris Johnson asking them to take action to tackle the climate crisis. Next, we had an assembly from Thanet District Council about litter and how important it is to bin our rubbish. Who can remember the fun song we learnt about throwing our rubbish away? :)

Our day finished with The Big Draw. It was great to see parents and children coming together to make a forest with echo tape in the hall. This helped raise awareness of how trees and tree growth can make a positive change to our lives and our world.
