Art to Start: Light

This afternoon, Year 3 started our new topic ‘Light’ with an Art to Start inspired by the Northern Lights! We talked about the Northern Lights, also known as the ‘aurora borealis’, discussing the colours and patterns we could see before having a go at creating our own picture! Holding our chalk and pastels in different ways, we made marks on our paper, smudging here and there, to create some of our own incredible light formations in our night sky!
