Printing

Ieuan brought his printing press and demonstrated the tricky technique of carving on lino to create intricate pictures ready to print. The children chose Christmas designs that they have been working on in art, to carve using special tools. The tools were sharp so we had to learn the correct technique and use a handguard for the corners.  We then chose a colour for the print and layered on ink using a roller. Finally, we printed our designs onto cards which the children will sell at the Christmas fayre.
