Pioneering Places Concludes
Just under four years after the beginning of this amazing project, today, we were collected by mini-bus and taken to the launch event (and official opening) of the Pioneering Places sculpture by Conrad Shawcross...
The children met the famous artist again as he officially opened his artwork on the clifftop and some of them delivered excellent speeches before becoming tour guides and explain te process to the many guests and visitors who were present. It was really lovely hearing the children talk with such enthusiasm about their involvement in the ideas and direction of the project and having a real say in what was ultimately produced.
