Literacy Week- Beautiful Work
The Squirrels who Squabbled Story Boxes!
This week has been a fantastic celebration of storytelling and creativity as we worked towards some truly beautiful work during Literacy Week!
We explored the wonderful book The Squirrels Who Squabbled and brought the story to life in so many exciting ways. We started by acting out freeze-frames of key moments, helping the children step into the characters' shoes and understand their emotions. From there, we created detailed story maps to visualise the journey of the tale.
As the week progressed, the children used their imagination and artistic skills to make story boxes and puppets, allowing them to retell the story in their own unique way. It has been amazing to see their enthusiasm and creativity shine!
