Tests next week

There will be tests for maths, reading and PAG (punctuation and grammar) on the first three days of the week. These tests are important and will help to guide our teacher assessments when providing a level for each child, however they are not worth getting upset, nervous or worried about. All we ever ask, is that the children try their best. We all know that children (just like adults!) can have an off day, so the children's learning in everyday lessons is still very much taken into account. That said, they are still a useful tool - when used sparingly - to help ascertain what the children have learned and retained, so we will be treating them seriously. Please therefore ensure that your child is in school promptly next week (as always), thank you!
