30/03: Home Learning

Good morning, Team Amin!

I hope you have had a RELAXING weekend and enjoyed… the sun and rain! I had hail where I live too! Thank you to those who sent pictures of learning over the weekend! Keep sending pictures/learning/emails my way :)

Tasks for the day:

PE: Tune into Joe Wicks’ workout this morning for a Monday wakeup call! Remember to find a safe space to do this and to have a water bottle ready!

M: Start with a speedy recap of your doubles and halves. Then, have a go at Arithmetic paper 7. Take your time, I am not setting a time limit for it, but do try to work quickly and carefully through it. If you need your X tables grid, use it!

SPAG: Take a look at the Y3/4 Statutory spelling list. You can access it online/ in your home pack. Take the first column and practise these spellings using the look, say, cover, write, check method.

Writing: Take a look at the writing challenge list. What takes your fancy today? Have a go at writing it, but remember your basic punctuation! Don’t forget to tick your chosen challenge off when completed.

T: History recap! First, what is history? What is prehistory? (Think, ask an adult, use a dictionary) Now access the link https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/z82hsbk about the prehistoric ages and watch the first 3 clips. The link takes you to a series of learner guide pages which have the clips in them (you may have to scroll down to find). Create a brainstorm of key information that you learn/relearn whilst watching for later. You might also like to read the learner guides to support your learning from the clip.

Extra activities:

R: Access the GG Powerpoint and listen along to Groosham Grange and/or read a chapter of a book of your choice.

TT: Practise your 4 times tables. (Use Hit the button, chanting, TTRS etc., whiteboard)

Handwriting and dictation: Ask your adult to dictate this sentence to you. Write it out in your neatest cursive and take care with your spelling (homophones!): Which witch was carrying the golden apple?

Have a super Monday. Happy learning!
