Story ideas with Charlotte Cooke and freeze frames
Today, Team Amin were very lucky to have their first workshop with Charlotte Cooke, the illustrator of a book called 'The Adventures of the Owl and the Pussycat'. Our session included some dressing up into various characters in the story and we also began to draw our ideas for our own adventure story. With Miss Amin, we also produced some freeze frames based on the start, middle and end of our book which we showed to each other and discussed in detail so that we could understand everyone's reasoning behind their actions. Moreover, we also refreshed our memories by revisiting the 'Owl and the Pussycat' poem that we looked at last term and compared and contrasted this with our book for this week.
