Measure - Capacity and Mass

We took our learning outside on Monday to explore the capacity of different containers. We had a fun competition to see how quickly we could transfer water from one bucket to another using different size containers. Afterwards we talked about why it was easier to transfer the water using the bigger container. We continued our learning over this week exploring how to estimate capacity - some of us were very accurate! - and then we looked at finding mass using scales and weighing classroom objects using non-standard units.
