Making 10

What two numbers make 10?

Last week in Team Barnes we explored the number 10. We started the week by making ten using a range of loose parts and craft materials. Next we developed our learning a little more by seeing what happens if ten is split into two parts. This was first explored using concrete materials like multilink cubes. We then continued this learning on by thinking about what two numbers work together to make ten, these are called number bonds. Some of us have really grasped this concept and for some of us it was a little tricky. Everyone was really engaged in this learning throughout the week and had a really good go at exploring 10! Well done Team Barnes!
