Happy Friday: Message and reminders

A few important messages and reminders

Next week, Team Amin will have their first full week back at RAPS. Here are a few things to know for the first few days:

1) All children were sent home with their new Bug Club logins this afternoon. Please bin the old ones and stick the new one over the old paper login the children stuck inside their records on Thursday.

2) I have asked the children to bring in their reading record every Monday from this Monday. Please log any reading they do over the weekend for Monday and log at least 3x a week from now on. The expectation at RAPS is that they read every day (or at least 4x a week). Reading books from school can be borrowed from next week. Please encourage your child to ask to take one home so that we know to log this. All books will be wiped and left aside for 48 hours upon return.

3) Tuesday and Wednesday are PE days for Year 3. On these days, children need to come into school wearing their PE kits which they will stay wearing for the whole day. It might be worth bringing a school jumper too if they are likely to feel cold.

4) Please can all water bottles be labelled with the children's names. Please note fountains are out of use and there are no cups inside the classroom now so a water bottle is recommended.

Normally at the start of the year, we have a Parents Open Class session where we outline RAPS' routines, expectations and key information to adults through a PowerPoint presentation. Obviously with the current restrictions, this is not possible and is a real shame as I cannot really meet you all face to face! Hopefully the PowerPoint I have made (with additional voice-over on some of the slides) will answer any questions that you may have, or indeed prompt questions that you may wish to ask. It will hopefully become available on MCAS or this blog soon. In the meantime, all key information to know now has been outlined above.

Finally, yet again, Team Amin have had an amazing day and I can't wait to get into the swing of learning next week. Rest up everyone and I will see you on Monday morning :)
