Our finished Kandinsky art using maths

The children completed their Kandinsky artwork, inspired by maths... After learning about angles, types of line and shape, the children had a 'checklist' of ingredients they had to include to create a piece of artwork in the style of Wassily Kandinsky! Some are now up on display in the classroom - please pop in and look at them. My only regret is that there is not enough space for all of them, as they looked AMAZING! Combining art with maths seemed to go down well with the children, and as well as using the mathematical language, they demonstrated superb artistic skills such as blending with the pastels.
