First Day of Year 3 - Team Hayzelden

Today, we have worked hard to learn new routines and get to know our new teacher and environment. We started the day with some mindfulness, before looking at what a maths lesson will look like in Year 3. Everybody was told about TTRS and told about their logins, which will come home in their new reading records over the next week. 

In our RSHE lesson, we learnt about what a risk is and how to safely assess risks. We thought carefully about questions to ask and how to evaluate scenarios as a high, low or medium risk. This will help us ready for forest school next week!

This afternoon, we have been learning about symbols in RE. We listened to the story of Noah's Ark and picked out the symbols used in the story and discussed what they could mean to Christians. We then talked about objects and symbols that are important to us and how they make us feel.
