Published 13/10/26, by Kiki AminYear 5 have been enjoying the book Wonder by R.J. Palacio. Inspired by the text, the children have planned, written and published their own narratives set in a school environment.
Their stories include adverbial openers and emotive language to engage the reader and bring their scenes to life. The children have also taken great care with their handwriting and illustrations, producing work they are very proud of.
Their published narratives are now displayed in our classroom for everyone to read and enjoy. Well done, Year 5!

Children have been learning about the British Empire and trade, before comparing how trade has changed over the years. They have explored global supply chains, discovering the incredible journeys our everyday products can make before reaching us. They have even been learning about Fairtrade and the origins of our food, thinking about where our food comes from, and the people involved in producing it. Along the way, we have had lots of fun, shared some amazing questions and challenged our thinking about how connected our world really is. Ask us all about it!🌎
