Parent Council

We are a group of parents/carers who come together to raise funds for the school. We organise community events and activities throughout the academic year. We have fluid communication with Mr Budge and his team to set our goals and strengthen our school community.  Ultimately, we provide the school with additional funding to enhance our children’s education and have fun!

Funds raised in previous years have provided the school with:

  • The stage in the main hall.
  • Additional play equipment.
  • Field trips.
  • Landscaping of the school grounds.

Funds raised over the next academic year will ensure our arts spaces continue to inspire, our outdoor learning areas flourish and our community engagement is better than ever!

We encourage all parents and carers to contribute in any way they can. Our class representatives and trustees will share information and reach out for help when needed.  Please update them with your contact details.  We have so many talented and skilled people in our community and every little contribution helps.

Trustees of the Parent Council are:

If you ever have any questions for us, would like to raise a concern or have an idea for a fundraising event, then please feel free to come and speak to one of us or drop one of us a note on the Facebook group ‘Ramsgate Arts Primary School Mummies & Daddies & Carers’.

An easy and time sensitive way to help us raise funds is to shop through our affiliate:

EasyFundraising.org

Simply download the application to shop online through familiar stores and a small donation will be made to RAPS.

Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held in Term 2 (typically early November).  During this meeting we review our achievements in the last year and vote in a new committee for the current academic year.  You can nominate yourself or others for the various roles.  Details of the candidates and meeting are typically communicated in Term 1.

If you ever have any questions for us, would like to get involved or have an idea, then please come and speak to one of us or get in touch via our email (rapsptfa@gmail.com) or Facebook group (RAPS Parent Council).
