Our Fire Engine Visit!

We were so lucky to have a visit from our local fire department! This linked brilliantly to our topic as we have been learning about people who help us and our local community.

We talked about what we should do if there is an emergency, including remembering the important number 999. We discussed who might help us in an emergency, why we might need emergency services and the different jobs they do to help keep people safe.

We were also able to get up close to the fire engine and have a look at some of the equipment the firefighters use. We were even lucky enough to sit inside the fire engine!

It was such an exciting visit and a fantastic opportunity to bring our learning to life. We had lots of questions and loved learning more about the amazing people who help keep our community safe.
