Building an earthquake-proof structure
During our study of the Incredible Earth, we investigated the impact of earthquakes on the environment. We learnt what makes buildings stable and able to resist damage. We drafted plans to build a structure out of cocktail sticks and marshmallows, then created our buildings. Then we tested the stability by shaking the 'ground.' Lots of our buildings stayed up! We reflected on our buildings and worked out how to improve them.
