Maths: Area and Perimeter

Today, Team Amin recapped the concepts of area and perimeter and how to find them. We created some more alien friends using the information provided to help us build shapes with exact areas and perimeters. We can now recall that perimeter involves adding the lengths of the sides of a shape up to find the total distance all the way around. Area, however, can be calculated in two ways. For some shapes, we can multiply length and width but for others, we can count up 1cm by 1cm squares. Our answers always include a little squared sign (2). What super effort!
