Exploring Sikh baptism and the 5 K's
Team Amin have been learning about Sikhism this week as a part of our Religious Education curriculum and have been talking about the origins of Sikhism, the naming ceremony for Sikh children, Sikh baptism and the 5 K's. We have written and illustrated information guides in our books and even created our own role plays based on our learning. We now know what the 5 K's (the Kesh, Kanga, Kara, Kaccha and Kirpan) are and we even know how Sikh children get their names! Did you know that Sikh boys and girls can have the same name?
