Sporting Stars

We took part in our first sporting event this academic year today... A year 3/4 football team took the short journey to Dame Janet to play a few friendly matches against two teams from the hosts and a team from St. Ethelberts in Ramsgate. Despite having never played together before, and being up against some established and quality opposition the team acquitted themselves admirably and represented the school fantastically. Myself and Mr. Budge could not have been any prouder! Every member of the team played with a smile, passion and great sportsmanship to come away with a win, a draw and one defeat from the three games. Although they were ALL fantastic, a special mention must go to Archie, who was so committed to the cause that whilst blocking a shot suffered a serious nose-bleed and a lost tooth. True dedication to the cause!!!
