Housebuilder donation for Ramsgate Arts Primary new Nurture Cabin

Neurodiverse pupils at Ramsgate Arts Primary School are benefiting from a new dedicated nurture space, created to provide children with a calm and supportive environment during the school day.

The school’s new Nurture Cabin, supported by a donation from Redrow South East’s Community Fund, has transformed part of the grounds into an inclusive setting where pupils can receive additional support, build confidence and develop important social skills.

The donation from the housebuilder contributed towards the cabin and landscaping improvements, helping the school create a welcoming space that combines indoor and outdoor learning.

Designed specifically with neurodiverse pupils in mind, the Nurture Cabin provides a quieter environment for children who may benefit from time away from the classroom to regulate, feel safe, supported and ready to learn.

The donation was awarded through Redrow South East’s Community Fund, which provides grants to organisations and community groups across Kent that are making a positive difference in their local area.

It also follows the housebuilder’s wider commitment to making inclusive play the standard across its developments, with all new play areas now designed to include accessible equipment, sensory and quiet play opportunities, accessible surfaces and safe, easy-to-reach locations for the whole community.

Jessica Goode,  said: “Our Nurture Cabin has already become a valuable space for pupils who sometimes need a quieter, calmer environment during the school day. For many neurodiverse children, having somewhere they feel safe, understood and supported can make a huge difference to their confidence, emotional wellbeing and ability to return to learning.

“We are very grateful to Redrow South East for helping us improve this area of the school grounds. Their support has allowed us to create a more welcoming and purposeful space where children can develop social skills, build resilience and feel proud of the progress they are making.”

Stuart Galloway, Sales Director at Redrow South East, added: “Ramsgate Arts Primary School has created a thoughtful and inclusive space that will make a meaningful difference to children who benefit from additional support during the school day.

“At Redrow, we believe children and families should have access to spaces that help them feel included, confident and connected. That is why, alongside our wider commitment to inclusive play across our developments, we are proud to support local projects that share the same ambition. The Nurture Cabin is a brilliant example of a community grant helping to deliver a lasting impact for pupils, families and staff in Ramsgate.”
