Exploring Traditional Tales in Team Hayzelden
Today in English we have continued our book talk to make inferences about the traditional tale characters introduced throughout our book.
Over the past week we have been exploring traditional tales like 'Jack and the Beanstalk' and 'Red Riding Hood' and searching our class text 'Into the Forest' for clues that link to these books. We have focused on the three main traditional tale characters and unpicked their characteristics. We acted in role as each character, expressing our thoughts in role based on their interaction with the main character in our book, before talking about our ideas with our table groups. One thing that I have been so impressed with this week is Team Hayzelden's ability to extend their ideas further by giving reasons for their thoughts and opinions based on evidence from the book!
