PE! Moving in Different Ways...

Building confidence and coordination in PE

This week in PE, the children have been exploring different ways to move. We have been walking, running, jumping, hopping and moving in different directions and at different speeds.

This helps to develop the children’s balance, coordination, strength and body control. It also supports their listening skills, confidence and awareness of the space around them.

You could talk about PE at home by asking:

  • What different ways did you move?

  • Which movement was your favourite?

  • Can you show me how you moved slowly or quickly?

  • Which movement did you find tricky?
