Friday's English

There were some super character descriptions of Bosun sent through to me a couple of days ago, so I am hoping to get some more photos following on from this task - especially as you have three days to complete this with the weekend on the horizon! Think back to the end of the Green Ship, where the ship has become overgrown because Bosun is too old to trim it and Mrs Tredegar does not seem to mind. I would like you to imagine that there is a sequel ( a second, follow-up book). What could it be about? What might happen? Who would be the main characters?

Your task is to choose one of the following:

• Design the front cover of the new book. What will it be called? What clues will you give on the cover?
• Write a story plan. Make notes for the beginning, middle and end of a story. (Template attached if you want it).
• Draw a scene from your new story. Can you be inspired by the style of the pictures from the original?
• Write the opening page / paragraph for the second book. What might you include? Can you describe characters or settings?
