TAKE ONE Art Project

On Friday, Team Amin explored the painting, 'Men of the Docks' by George Bellows, which is the piece of artwork at the centre of the Take One Picture project (run by the National Gallery). The children began their day with creating their own version of a boat as table groups to really encourage their team work. This was followed by learning more about the picture and the docks, some role play about life on the docks and listening to sound clips to help generate words and phrases to use within a poem. Team Amin then created some fantastic poetry which the children worked on independently and wrote in best. Well done, Team Amin. 

This project is school wide and pieces from the project will be on display in January.
