Pioneering Places: Harbour trip
What a fantastic day! Thank you Turner, London Array, Ramsgate Harbour and the Yacht Club!
Team Amin were so lucky to spend the day outdoors today (despite that marvellous rain) at Ramsgate Harbour. We started our day in the historic Sailor's Church talking to our artists and starting to pick a word for our installation in the Harbour. We then headed to the London Array offices where Team Amin heard all about how the wind turbines work, were given a fabulous bag and London Array water bottle and even visited the Control Room! After this, we were particularly lucky to be taken around the Harbour by the Harbour Master himself! He talked to us about the different types of boats and the lighthouse and we even saw a life boat as it went out to sea! Our day ended with a climb up Jacob's Ladder up to the Yacht Club where we had a lovely lunch and spoke to some very important people about our project! What a wonderful day!
