Welcome to Year 5

Welcome to Year 5! After a few technical issues the blog is now up and running. The children had a fantastic start back last week and worked really hard. Special well done to Ellis for being Star of the Week!

Myself and the children are looking forward to starting our topic this week of the Ancient Greeks as well as English where we will be reading Greek myths such as Perseus and the Gorgon’s head and Theseus and the minotaur. This week the children will also be taking part in art workshops by the Turner Centre and we will visit the gallery on Friday. On Wednesday, the children will have a fire safety talk so it will be a very busy first week back!

I am really looking forward to the year ahead and getting to know the children and their families as well as all the exciting things we have planned
