English: Exploring glaciers and the world

Aren't we lucky?
Over the past week, Team Amin have been reading "The Pebble in my Pocket" in Guided Reading which is all about the journey of a pebble through time and on Earth. We have also been working on creating our own travel guides/brochures in English and have been looking at 4 different locations: Tokyo, Iceland, the Galapagos and Athens. As we discussed our story and Iceland, we came across the word "glacier" which many of us were unsure about! We were so lucky, however, to have the wonderful Mrs Fox who has seen and stood on a glacier in New Zealand! Better yet, she stood on Fox Glacier! How amazing that she brought in her photos for us to see and talk about. We now know lots about glaciers and are really confident with describing them . Lucky Team Amin!
