Superhero Day in Reception – Superheroes Unite!

Reception was bursting with excitement and creativity as we celebrated Superhero Day! In the lead-up to this special day, the children were given a Love to Learn challenge at home – to design their very own superhero costume, complete with a unique name and special superpower. And what a fantastic job they did!

We were thrilled to welcome superheroes such as Garbage Girl, who helps keep our planet clean by recycling; Nature Girl, a protector of bees and the environment; and Super Thomas, who zooms around at lightning speed to help those in need. Each superhero had a story to tell and a mission to complete!

Our action-packed day began with a superhero parade, where the children proudly showcased their amazing costumes and explained their powers to their friends. The fun continued with a range of superhero-themed activities:

🧊 Rescuing superheroes from ice – a mission of strength and strategy!
🍃 Mud kitchen – superhero style! – messy, imaginative fun creating power-packed potions and meals.
🌞 Shadow drawing – a calm moment to trace our superhero shadows and explore light and shape.
🦸 Superhero obstacle course – testing our agility, speed, and teamwork!
🏙️ Small world and role play – bringing our superhero stories to life with imagination and flair.

The day was full of laughter, energy, and joy as the children truly embraced their superhero personas. From solving problems to showing kindness and bravery, each child proved that everyone has a superpower inside them.
