Poetry
In guided reading this week, we have begun to explore a few poems in preparation for our new unit in English.
So far we have looked at 'Please Mrs Butler' by Allan Ahlberg and 'The Michael Rosen Rap' by - unsurprisingly - Michael Rosen! The children have begun to identify structure and language features and to express an opinion about what they do and do not like. Over the coming weeks, we will continue to explore a range of poems and create our own in their style!
