Kent Test

Registration for the Kent Test for children due to start secondary school in September 2026 opened on Monday 2nd June 2025 and will close at midnight on Thursday 1st July 2025.

Kent County Council state that they cannot accept late registrations, so we wanted to remind you of the details ahead of time so that if you would like to sign your child up for the Kent Test, you have plenty of time to do so. Attached is the website to register for the Kent Test. https://www.kent.gov.uk/education-and-children/schools/schoolplaces/kent-test

Assessment is normally done through testing during the autumn term. This year, the tests are due to take place on Thursday 11th September for pupils in Kent primary schools.

The assessment results will be sent on Thursday 16th October 2025 after 4pm.

This familiarisation paper explains the Kent Test papers for children who will take them. It is a good idea to go through this paper to familiarise your child with the types of questions and how to answer them. https://www.kent.gov.uk/__data/assets/pdf_file/0014/14513/Kent-Test-familiarisation-booklet.pdf

If you have any questions, please contact the class teacher or Miss Dannell.
