Mexican Feast by Ryder
To go along with our topic 'Mexico: Then and Now', we have been cooking Mexican-style food, which concluded with a feast for parents to attend...
Team Beraet have been putting extreme amounts of effort into creating traditional Mexican dishes, such as Chili con crane, chimichangas, Mexican sausage rolls and muffins. We have learnt many different types of cutting vegetables, how to work an oven\ stove and even did the washing-up. Maybe ask your child to do some washing-up, so they can show you what they learnt about it.
On Thursday, we had a feast at the Royal Harbour lower site. The children served the food to the parents before trying the food they made themselves. Everyone agreed that it was a total success, with delicious food enjoyed by all! Thanks to Mike Spackman for teaching the recipes and skills. Thanks too for all the parents for giving up their time to support the children.
