Today, we learnt about another important Jewish festival called Purim. We talked about how Purim is celebrated, including learning about the carnival-like festivities and the hamantaschen biscuits that are eaten, and created short plays to retell the story of King Xerxes, the beautiful queen Esther, the villainous Haman and the clever Mordecai, to show why this story is so important still today for Jews!
