Our Reception children have been busy getting stuck into a very exciting project – giving the mud kitchen a fabulous makeover!
With a little creativity (and a fair bit of mud!), the area has been transformed into an even more inspiring place for imaginative play. Here’s what’s new:
🌱 A brand-new herb garden, perfect for sensory exploration and adding some delicious scents to their mud pies!
🍳 A new cooking wall, complete with utensils and surfaces to get those little chefs cooking up a storm.
🪣 And of course, some fresh new mud – because you can never have too much!
It’s been wonderful to see the children so engaged in outdoor play, mixing, stirring, planting and creating. This kind of play is fantastic for developing communication, teamwork, and motor skills – and it’s lots of fun too!
If your child hasn’t yet brought in their puddle suit and wellies, please do send them in so they don’t miss out on the fun! Make sure everything is clearly named so we can keep track of everyone’s things!
