Meeting Our Local Heroes: PC Barnes and His Police Dogs Visit

Our Special Visit from PC Barnes and His Police Dogs!

This week in our topic “People, Heroes and the World,” the children were very excited to welcome a special visitor to our school, PC Barnes and his police dogs, Roxy and Keara!

PC Barnes showed the children his police uniform and explained what each part means and how it helps him do his important job. The children loved meeting Roxy and Keara and learning how police dogs help keep our community safe.

PC Barnes also talked about how police officers are heroes in our community because they help people, keep us safe, and work hard every day to protect us all.

It was a wonderful experience for our reception class to meet a real-life hero and learn more about how the police help our community. We’re so grateful to PC Barnes for visiting us and sharing his time and stories!
